Grandiose 2019 held on March 13th witnessed active participation from 1500+ associates and close to 100 members from all the participating schools. The event had a special talent show segment for the students from the participating schools, a display of all the key activities/projects done as part of ‘Adopt a School’ program, and associates exchanged their best practices as part of an internal contest.

Going beyond the ‘cheque writing’ approach, UST Global’s social agenda encourages active involvement of its employees in contributing to various causes. These employee volunteer program provide an opportunity for employees to develop their personalities and leadership skills by pursuing aspirations outside their functional requirements. Sunil Balakrishnan, Global Head for Development Center Operations, UST Global, said, “Adopt a School is a unique program of UST Global that encourages our associates to come together and contribute time for the development of students education. This academic year was extremely fulfilling in terms of the quality and scale of engagement with the schools. Beyond the 14 schools which we are supporting for last many years, this year we also provided assistance to rebuild a number of schools impacted by the floods. We are happy to recognize all the partner schools and our teams for their efforts at Grandiose 2019.”

Some of the key initiatives undertaken for schools in 2018-19 include full day program with Malayalam literary legends like M. K. Sanoo (professor, critic, biographer, orator), S.
