Mumbai:In an unprecedented move, the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay has banned nine companies from campus recruitments this year due to complaints against them.
The major complaint is cancellation of job offers. Providing fake address, recruitment for a different company, delaying the joining dates and reduced salary packages are other reasons.
Companies GPSK, Johnson Electric, China, Portea Medical, Cashcare Technologies, PepperTap , LeGarde Burnett Group, Mera Hunar, IndusInsight are the blacklisted companies.
A slowdown in the start-up sector has been showing its impact on the placements in India’s top IITs and IIMs.
