KOCHI:
During the academic year 2018-19, Cochin University of Science technology students received excellent campus placements.
The placements started from September 2018 and around 450 students received offers. 75 recruiters had visited the campus so far. The placement process is being continuing to the final stage of this academic year. The offer from the front line Computer Science recruiter for 16 Lakhs per annum to 6 students and the offer from ONGC (mahnavratna company) who selected 5 students with 18 Lakhs per annum are considered to the best campus placements this year. Major software companies like CISCO, AMAZONE, Nissan Digital, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Tata Communication, Verizon and major Engineering Industries like L&T, Vedanta, Godrej, CEAT, Reliance etc conducted placement process and recruited students from Engineering, Science and Management Schools.
The average salary offered is 4.5 Lakhs per annum. Every year approximately 100 recruiters visit the campus. Compared to last year this year CUSAT received more offers from various recruiters.
