NAVI MUMBAI:
Henkel India, at an event in Navi Mumbai, today, launched Researchers’ World, an educational initiative designed to introduce children to the fascinating world of science. The event also showcased Henkel’s CSR initiatives in India through the unveiling of its Coffee Table Book.
Researchers’ World focuses on creatively introducing science to children by giving them hands-on experrience of conducting scientific experiments. This initiative has specific learning objectives to help children gain insights into the process of scientific enquiry. The content is tailored to children of ages 8 to 10 and takes a holistic approach towards teaching and learning by putting children into the role and of an actual researcher.
The event was graced by Dr. Jürgen Morhard, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai and Dr. Ramaswami N., Commissioner, Navi Mumbai, Municpal Corporation where they launched the coffee table book and witnessed the Researchers’ World experiments being conducted by children. They congratulated Henkel India on the various CSR initiatives undertaken and were pleased with the objectives set out under the Researchers‘ World initiative.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shilip Kumar, President, Henkel India, said, “It gives me immense pleasure to launch our Coffee Table Book on CSR initiatives, which celebrates Henkel India’s journey in building a better world for our current and future generations.“
“Through our latest CSR initiative, Researchers‘ World, we encourage children to be curious and to develop a spirit of discovery by enabling access,“ he added.
