Sustaining its strong sales momentum, Hero MotoCorp, world’s largest single two-wheeler manufacturer, has continued to further consolidate its domestic market leadership with an all-time high sales for the month of May.
Hero MotoCorp despatched 706,365 units of motorcycles and scooters in May 2018 – a growth of 11% over the corresponding month in the previous fiscal (May 2017) when the Company had sold 6,33,884 units. This is the third month of landmark seven lakh-plus sales by Hero MotoCorp in recent times, with the two previous months being March 2018 (730,473) and September 2017 (720,739).
During the month, Hero MotoCorp showcased its new offering in the premium segment – the Xtreme 200R. This motorcycle is slated for launch in the second quarter of this fiscal. With the forecast of a good monsoon this year, there is expectation of an uptick in market demand in the later part of the year, leading to a sustained momentum across the country. Hero MotoCorp is well placed to leverage that with the upcoming introduction of its new motorcycles and scooters during the year.
