Robotics Training for School Students

KOCHI:
Centre for Integrated Robotics Research and Development (CIRRD) is conducting a hands on robotics workshop solely for school students of classes 7 to 12 at Maharajas college Ernakulam on 2018 May 11,12,13.
The classes will be held from 9am to 5pm. Robotics is an emerging field in today’s world. As we tread towards the era of IOT and Artificial Intelligence the scope for robotics is more than ever before and it shows much promise for those who seek to pursue it. Bearing that in mind this workshop organized by Edu Mithra aims to provide a platform for those who are eager to step into the world of robotics be it as a profession or just out of pure interest.
Those attending the workshop will learn some of the basics behind building a robot as well as receive the hands-on training required for the same. In just three days attendees will learn how to build a fully functional robot as well as have a solid base for if they ever wished to make their own robot later on in the future. They will also gain exposure to the world of robotics and get an idea of all the various hardware components and software that play a role in making the same. It’s the perfect place to start for all those who have ever dreamt of building their own robot.
After this workshop attendees will gain an understanding of the basics of the field as well as what its like to actually work on a robot. They will have built a robot themselves and therefore will have a very good idea of how to approach the same later on in the future.
