New Delhi: CPM leader V S Achuthanandan has suffered two setbacks in the Supreme Court. The Court dismissed the petition filed by Achuthanadan seeking CBI probe into the Kozhikode Ice Cream Parlour Case.
The court observed that it does not have the time to take up the case which Achuthanandan has filed for political vengeance.
He was further humiliated by the CPM-led Kerala Government when the state government counsel told the supreme court that Achuthanandan was approaching the case politically. The counsel of Achuthanandan raised the allegation that M K Damodran, the current legal advisor to the Chief Minister, had subverted the Ice Cream parlour case.
However, the court directed him to file his petition in the trial court.
