THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Metro Food Awards – Thiruvananthapuram will be held at Apollo Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram, on March 22, 2018 at 04.30 pm. Serving as a platform for those in the F&B and Hospitality industries to showcase their expertise and the rigorous selection criterion, this event is held in high acclaim.
These awards recognize and commemorate excellence of restaurants in the Southern part of Kerala. The award ceremony is held in association with Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, Kerala Tourism, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and South Kerala Hoteliers Forum.
The awardees are selected based on a set of guidelines. A team of experts from the hospitality sector, industry leaders and professionals would constitute the jury. They would undertake a meticulous multi-stage process of pre-scoring to shortlist the final candidates. They would also monitor SMS voting by the public and mystery shopping expeditions before judging the entries to decide on the winners.
Siji Nair, Managing Director, Metro Food Awards 2018 said that Metro Awards recognizes professionalism and dynamism of restaurants in various cities, as well as the skills and acumen presented by the staff. Voicing his belief that the diners should have the final say to select the finest restaurant, he said, “They are the best judge of culinary experts who serve an appetizing meal with quality service.”
The gathering would be welcomed by Siji Nair. Metro Food Awards –2018 would be presided by K. Muraleedharan MLA. The event will be inaugurated by Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Co-operation, Tourism and Devaswom, Government of Kerala. Metro Expedition will be released and inaugurated by O. Rajagopal MLA. First Copy to be received by Chef Noushad. Metro Expedition website will be inaugurated by KTDC Chairman M. Vijayakumar. Product Launch will be done by KTM President Baby Mathew. Logo of Calicut MFA edition will be released by P. Bala Kiran IAS, Director, Kerala Tourism. Raj Nijith, MFA Events would give the vote of thanks.
