Anand kept Times Network’s focus clearly on generating balanced and purpose-driven reportage that strode forward on differentiated content that was qualitatively forward. He led Times Network in making unprecedented technological shifts that pushed boundaries and redefined the functioning of the television news category. Not just success in terms of viewership and achievements in the news category, Anand also led Times Network through a number of path-breaking initiatives such as ‘Fighting Fear With Facts’, ‘India Outbreak Report’ and ‘India Revival Mission’. His ability to synergise the functioning of multiple streams of effort has gained him the trust of newsrooms as well as advertisers.
Anand has also successfully led the digital transformation by driving new and emergent revenue streams that are now poised to become industry standards. And to achieve all this with integrity that remained intact through the scandals and ethical dilemmas that hit the industry over the year.
