This book covers topic- wise commentary on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and latest amendments made by Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2018 and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018.
Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code is a unified code which seeks to consolidate and amend the laws relating to reorganisation and insolvency resolution of corporate persons, partnership firms and individuals. The bankruptcy code is a one stop solution for resolving insolvencies which at present is a long and costly process.
The code will be able to protect the interests of small investors and make the process of doing business a less cumbersome affair. The latest amendment Act provides a right to the home-buyers to initiate the insolvency

This books is a complete compilation which fulfils all requirements an applicant or an Insolvency professional would require to understand the latest provisions of the Code.
The book also comprises of other relevant Acts on Insolvency, such as Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 and Rules thereunder, Recovery of Debt and Bankruptcy Act, 1993 and rules thereunder, RBI Guidelines on Resolution of Stressed Assets.
Taxmann Publications has also launched a book on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Law Digest, which provides a summary of all judgments pronounced by NCLT, NCLAT and the Supreme Court on IBC, and an online research platform (https://ibc.taxmann.com) which provides everything needed to research on this Code. This platform provides a complete database of case laws, Acts, Rules, circulars, notifications, authored articles and commentaries.
Taxmann will shortly release an examination module which would help the aspirants to prepare for the Limited Insolvency Exam conducted by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India so as to become the Insolvency Professional.
