The cultural wing of Cochin Port Trust staged a 30-minute street play on the adverse impact of plastic pollution at Fort Kochi.
An awareness rally to spread awareness in the importance of cleanliness was conducted involving students and teachers of Hidayathul Islam High School, Ponnarimangalam, Ernakulam. Awareness program on better sanitation practise like using a toilet, hand, washing, and health and hygiene was conducted at Ernakulam Wharf, Willingdon Island by the employees of Medical Department.
Overgrown vegetation along the sides of road near Kendriya Vidyalaya was removed by the officers and staff of Civil Engineering Dept. About 30 m3 of garbage/vegetation removed from the area. Also, about 6m3 of waste collected and removed from Seagull Street, W/Island.
