    • VE Commercial Vehicles Sells 4048 units in December 2016

    MUMBAI:
    VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) has sold 4048 units in
    December 2016 as compared to 5063 units in December 2015 recording a decline of 20.0%. However, on YTD basis, we continue to have a handsome growth of 13.1% with YTD sales of 41263 units as against last veyear YTD of 36472 units. This month 4048 units includes 3946 units of Eicher brand and 102 units of Volvo brand.
    Following are the key highlights for December 2016
    Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded total sales of 3946 units in December 2016 (FYTD 40525)
    as compared to 4946 units in December 2015 (LFYTD 35507), representing a decline of 20.2% (FYTD
    Growth of 14.1%).
    In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 3246 units in
    December 2016 (FYTD 34372) as compared to 4109 units in December 2015 (LFYTD 30648),
    representing a decline of 21.0% (FYTD Growth of 12.2%).
    On the Exports front Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 700
    units in December 2016 (FYTD 6153) as compared to 837 units in December 2015 (LFYTD 4859), representing a decline of 16.4% (FYTD Growth of 26.6%).
    Volvo trucks have recorded sales of 102 units in December 2016 (FYTD 738) as compared to 117 units
    in December 2015 (LFYTD 965) representing a decline of 12.8% (FYTD decline of 23.5%).
