

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Cricket Association for the Blind in Kerala (CABK) was provided with much-needed financial support by the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of prominent AI and digital transformation solutions company UST for the smooth conduct of a School Cricket Tournament and Inclusive Sports Athletics Programme for visually impaired students across Kerala.
UST extended financial aid of more than Rs. 4 lakhs towards this initiative, further to which CABK successfully conducted a School Cricket Tournament and a Multi-Disciplinary Sports Programme for visually impaired school children. The sports events held at St Mary’s HS School Kottappuram, Vizhinjam, Thiruvananthapuram brought together 125 visually impaired school students from across the state.
The events provided the school kids with a platform for physical development, social interaction, and talent identification through sports. The support extended by UST reaffirming the company’s commitment towards inclusive development and equal opportunities for all.
“Being able to financially support the School Cricket Tournament and Inclusive Sports Athletics Programme for visually impaired students organised by the Cricket Association for the Blind in Kerala (CABK) is a major privilege for the CSR team at UST. We are glad that we are able to keep up the momentum in our efforts towards inclusive development and equal opportunities for all through such initiatives,” said Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Lead – India, UST.
