KOCHI:
UST Global’s Network of Women Ussociates (NOWU), an internal volunteering team that facilitates the development and executive mentoring of the company’s woman employees, organized its annual culinary festival cum fund raising event Yummy Aid 2017 in Kochi. UST Global Yummy Aid is an annual festival that aims to bring together all the employees to raise funds for various CSR activities. This year, the festival has raised close to Rs. 80,000, which will be used towards various CSR initiatives for the underprivileged women and education of children.
The food festival and culinary contest witnessed participation from 15 teams who cooked and brought lip-smacking food from home and sold them at UST Global’s Kochi office in Infopark. The 15 teams also competed for the ‘Master Chef’, ‘Best Dish’, ‘Best Stall’ and ‘Best Charity Partner’ title. The judges for the contest were the Executive Chefs – Jitendra Nakhwa and Harith Kumar from Holiday INN, Kochi.
The judges gave away the prizes to the winners, to Sonia Thomas for ‘Master Chef’; Paniyaram, Orotti & Chicken Curry from Nadan Ruchikootu for ‘Best Dish’; Nadan Ruchikootu for ‘Best Stall’; and the team ‘SWAD’ for the ‘Best Charity Partner’. Over 1500 employees participated from the Kochi center.
