MUMBAI:
Generative AI has rapidly moved from experimentation to enterprise adoption, reshaping industries worldwide. According to “How much productivity can GenAI unlock in India? The AIdea of India 2025 report”, 36% of Indian enterprises have already allocated dedicated budgets for generative AI, with productivity in India’s IT sector expected to rise by 45% and 70% of CEOs anticipating significant value creation from GenAI. Addressing this accelerating demand, the University of Melbourne, Australia’s #1 university (QS World University Rankings 2026), in collaboration with Emeritus, has announced the launch of its Advanced Program in Generative AI and Machine Learning.
The nine-month programme is designed to equip professionals with advanced capabilities in generative AI, machine learning, and data science, enabling them to lead innovation, deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions, and bridge the global talent gap. Delivered through a mix of live faculty masterclasses, weekly domain-expert sessions, 25+ tools, 20+ projects, and a 2-day campus immersion at the University of Melbourne Global Centre in Delhi, the curriculum ensures participants gain both technical depth and applied business impact.
This programme is ideal for data scientists, software engineers, business analysts, consultants, product managers, and senior technology leaders such as VPs of engineering, digital transformation heads, and CTOs who are looking to drive AI adoption and innovation across their organisations.
Avnish Singhal, Executive Vice President, Head – India & APAC, Emeritus, added: “As Indian enterprises fast-track AI adoption, the need for skilled leaders who can design, deploy, and manage generative AI systems has never been higher. This collaboration with the University of Melbourne brings world-class academic rigour and practical application to help professionals thrive in the AI-first economy.”
The curriculum spans core AI and ML foundations, supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, transformers, reinforcement learning, and cutting-edge generative AI models (GANs, LLMs, and Agentic AI with RAG). It also integrates ethical AI, MLOps, and deployment strategies to prepare participants for responsible, enterprise-grade implementations. Learners will conclude their journey with a capstone project, applying AI/ML techniques to real-world business challenges, supported by structured career services and GitHub portfolio-building.
Through this programme, participants will be able to:
Build enterprise-ready AI/ML models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and 25+ tools and libraries
Apply generative AI techniques such as GANs, transformers, LLMs, and agentic AI for real-world business use cases
Strengthen expertise in supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning to solve complex data problems
Gain practical experience through 20+ projects, coding labs, and a live capstone project
Demonstrate leadership credibility with a University of Melbourne credential and alumni recognition
Enhance career growth through structured career services, GitHub portfolio-building, and industry networking
