  • Revised Compensation Norms: Domestic Airlines Should Pay More to Passengers

    New Delhi: The revised compensation guidelines issued by the aviation regulator DGCA will make passengers of domestic airlines happier.

    From Auguat 1, domestic airlines should pay up to Rs 10,000 to a passenger as compensation in the case of cancelling/delaying a flight beyond two hours.

    New Delhi: The revised compensation guidelines issued by the aviation regulator DGCA will make passengers of domestic airlines happier.

    From Auguat 1, domestic airlines should pay up to Rs 10,000 to a passenger as compensation in the case of cancelling/delaying a flight beyond two hours.

    If a passenger is not allowed to board the flight the compensation to be paid by the airlines is up to Rs 20,000.
    The compensation for one-hour delay will be Rs 5000 and for a delay upto 2 hours , it will be Rs 7500.

    At present, the airlines pay a meagre amount of Rs 4000 in both cases.
