Noted playback singer Dr K J Yesudas will be accorded the second-highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan as part of the country’s 67th Republic of India. Padmashree and Padma Bhushan were accorded to him in 1975 and 2002 respectively.
Apart from Yesudas, NCP founder Sharad Pawar and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi will get Padma Vibhushan. Late Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, late former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma and late Madhya Pradesh chief minister Sunder Lal Patwah would get Padma Vibhushan.

ill be awarded the Padma Shri. Other sportspersons to be awarded Padma Shri include Olympian Sakshi Malik, gymnast Dipa Karmakar, Vikas Gowda for discus throw and P R Sreejesh for hockey.
Mohanveena maestro Vishwa Mohan Bhat will be awarded the Padma Bhushan, while singer Anuradha Paudwal will be awarded the Padma Shri.
