Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week by Railways

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Southern railway is observing vigilance awareness week from 31st October to 05th November 2016 with the theme “Public participation in Promoting integrity and eradicating corruption” . The obervance of the week commenced with the pledge by railway men at Thiruvananthapuram and at other major stations on 31st October 2016. On 01st November J Vinayan, Chief Vigilance Officer, FACT will conduct a seminar on topic, “Living with Corruption, Promoting Integrity” at Railway divisional Office, Thycaud. Aware, active, involved and empoered public is essential to any anti corruption strategies Various programmes are also arranged at educational institutions. On 01st November 2016 an elocution competition is arranged at Le cole Chempaka school. The subject for elecoution will be “ role of Public in curbing corruption”. On 03rd November 2016 a debate is arranged at Government womens college, Trivandrum on topic, Role of Social Media in curbing corruption.
Special Customer Grievance redressal camps are being setup at varios stations under Thiruvananthapuram division.
