Navigant India, a consulting company which is into specialized, global professional services, and has operations in the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark, has kicked off its annual Service Week, as part of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Into its second year, the Navigant Service Week would carry out efforts aimed at giving back to the community.

Various NGOs and organizations were identified are being visited by a team led by Mahendra Singh Rawat, Country Head, Navigant India, Paul Praveen, COO, Jeena Peter, Director – HR and Vinod Mohan, Compliance Head. First Visit was to Santhimadiram in Thiruvananthapuram and Dejaswee – Mangayar Mangalam and Sri Sarathadevi Anbu Illam in Nagercoil to kick start the Service Week.
The Navigant India team visited Ammathottil in Thiruvananthapuram, where the company is building a sick room. This was also followed by an eye check-up camp for kids and staff at Ammathottil in association with the Chaithanya eye hospital. Employees contributed in cash and kind apart from the Company contribution of 2 Lakhs to build the kids’ sick room.
On April 6th, the Service Week extended to Kanthari in the Thiruvananthapuram suburbs, where the company would be providing educational infrastructure. On April 7, the employees would visit Assissi Nikethan, and hand over funds to paint the whole building. An amount of Rs 40000 would be donated for the same.
According to Jeena Peter, Director-HR, Navigant India said, “Social responsibility is at the heart of everything that we do at Navigant India. Our core philosophy revolves around our belief that every individual has the power to make a difference through their little contributions.”
As part of its Nagercoil leg, the Navigant India Service Week donated Rs 65000 towards a sanitary napkin incinerator, education sponsorship for two girl children and monthly groceries, at Dejaswee. An amount of Rs 60000, towards buying dormitory type steel cots, wall fans, study tables were handed over to the Saratha Devi Anbu Illam.
As part of the Service Week, Navigant India employees also donated crayons, pencils and stationary items donated by the employees to the Bishop Gnandasan Arivu Illam. Financial assistance of Rs 40,000 towards installing invertor power supply for the dining room and other areas was also handed over an amount of Rs 75000 towards floor and wall tiling in the occupational therapy room, and purchase of a steel dining table was donated to Manolaya, in Nagercoil. These apart, Rs 60000 was handed over to the Povvar Old Age Home and Rs 50000 was donated to Anbin Sigaram.
