KOCHI:
Muthoot Pappachan Group, one of the largest corporate in Kerala, is back with a bang with the 11 th series of 20 – 20 cricket tournament. Organized by Muthoot ECC and sponsored by Muthoot Pappachan Foundation, the series this year will be held in two phases – the first phase will be with the cricket teams from Ernakulam while the second phase would be among the intra state cricket teams. The matches will be held at the BPCL Kochi Refinery Ground, Ambalamugal and Rajagiri College Ground, Kakkanad.
As part of the first phase of the tournament, eighteen lower division teams from Ernakulum will compete among themselves – the winner of the first phase will succeed to participate in the second phase. There will be three matches played everyday, and the final match of the first phase will be held on 31 st March,2017.
The second phase will comprise of 12 teams from all over Kerala including the winners of the first phase. The participating teams for the second phase includes State Bank of Travancore, AG’s Office, Muthoot Yamaha Master CC (All from Trivandrum), Sudharma Apex, Landac CA (All from Trichur), Lords CC (Malappuram) Royal Cricket.in, Muthoot ECC, Tripunitura CC, , Swantons CC, Century CC, (All from Ernakulam). The tournament will follow all the Rules mandated by International Cricket Council, like field
restrictions, no ball penalty, free hit after foot fall, no ball and the like. Each team will have uniform color shirts which will represent their team. The finals will be held on 09 th April 2017.

and the runner up trophy is instituted by Ernakulam Cricket Club in memory of its member R.Sankar.
