KOCHI:
An MoU has been signed between Cochin University Of Science and Technology (Cusat) and Shimane University of Japan. Accordingly, selected students of both the Universities will be able to pursue their studies in the other University for six months to one year without fees.
The MoU was signed by Cusat Registrar Dr S. David Peter and Dr Yasunavo Hitori, President of Shimane University in the presence of Cusat PVC Dr P.G Sankaran . As the first step, four students and one faculty member from SOE, Cusat will start their studies in Shimane from January 2018 onwards with Japanese funding.
Shimane will also sponsor a Japanese language teacher in Cusat. The MoU also envisages exchange of faculty and research scholars as well as collaborative research ventures. These will be showcased in the seminar at Cusat on 30th November. Many other Japanese Universities have come forward for similar collaborations, informed Dr. K.K. Saju, Director, IRAA of Cusat.
