Leading Interventional Pulmonology Conference in Asia to be Held in Kochi

KOCHI:
One of Asia’s prominent conferences in Interventional Pulmonology, ABIP 2026, will be held on March 28 and 29 at Le Meridien Hotel, Kochi. The fifth biennial conference of the Amrita Bronchology & Interventional Pulmonology department will serve as a platform for international-level scientific discussions and hands-on training programs.

The conference will bring together 14 international experts and more than 1000 delegates from different countries. In addition to scientific sessions focusing on the latest technologies and treatment approaches, a series of hands-on training programs will be conducted across various domains.

Key training areas include rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, flexible bronchoscopy, EBUS masterclass, robotic bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and chest ultrasound. Live case demonstrations showcasing complex procedures will be one of the major highlights of the conference.

The event will also feature an Innovators’ Hub introducing new technologies in interventional pulmonology, special sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based treatment possibilities, and fellowship forums aimed at academic collaboration and learning.

Conference Director and Head of Interventional Pulmonology Department at Amrita Hospital, Dr. Tinku Joseph, said the conference will benefit both students and experienced doctors by enhancing their knowledge and clinical expertise, and is expected to mark new milestones in the field of interventional pulmonology.
