Laxmikant Parsekar Inaugurates GHRDC Office

The ‘new office premises of Goa Human Resource Development Corporation at Porvorim’ was inaugurated today at the hands of Laxmikant Parsekar, Chief Minister of Goa, in the distinguished presence of Rajan alias Subhash K.

Under the visionary leadership of Pramod P. Sawant, GSIDC is helping lead the way in building quality infrastructure for the state of Goa. Currently, the coporation is in the process of building roads, bridges, hospitals, colleges, schools, libraries, stadiums, jetties, bus stands, cultural centres and market complexes and is involved in the holistic development of rural and urban spaces.
Adding to this list of works, GSIDC has undertaken the ‘Renovation / alteration of DIET building for Goa Human Resource Development Corporation at Porvorim’.The DIET bulding was earlier occupied by Goa Education Development Corporation and the government has now allocated it to Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC). Renovations / alterations were required to transform the area into an office space
commensurate with GHRDS activities and operations. A full-fledged training hall and multipurpose hall has been provided with projectors for mass skill training sessions. The building’s open-to- sky courtyard has been converted into a dining hall with ample natural light and ventilation. Balconies have been remodelled, the staircase has been widened and niches and odd spaces have been convereted into storage a
reas. The project also inlcudes
plumbing & sanitary work, electrical works, provision of furniture, external development etc.
Shiva Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (represented by Arch. Chandan Parab, Mapusa) was the consultant and Concept Creator, Pune was the contractor for the project. The cost of the work was approximately 3 crore.
