On Wednesday, 23 August, UK-headquartered Kloudpad will launch its ‘Innovate 2020’ programme, a new platform to help Keralan start-ups bring new products and services to the market, and its new R&D Division ‘Cloudsys Analytics Labs’ in Kochi.
Innovate 2020 will encourage technology, engineering and electronics entrepreneurs from South India to join Kloudpad’s billion pound growth vision for 2020 with a focus on wireless, embedded engineering and cognitive software. ‘Cloudsys Analytical Labs’ will run the Innovate 2020 programme, providing companies with advice on product development, as well as access to the right funding and global commercial opportunities. Cloudys will also showcase new technologies specifically designed for smart cities solutions including healthcare automation devices, facial recognition software, smart meters and intelligent character recognition, amongst others. Cloudsys already offers bespoke solutions for clients, custom designing chipsets for mobile devices, wireless communication and Internet of Things.
Dr Catherine Raines, Director General, International Trade & Investment, Department for International Trade (https://www.gov.uk/government/people/catherine-raines), will inaugurate the launch along with senior officials from the Kerala Government including the Kerala State Investment Development Corporation (KSIDC), eminent businessmen and regional state bodies. Dr Raines will be accompanied by Bharat Joshi, British Deputy High Commissioner and a British Government Delegation.

Dr Katherine Raines will also visit Kerala-based British businesses and Keralan investors into the UK.
