The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, today bagged the Gold Medal for the Best Pavilion in the government sector at the Aahar 2023, Asia’s biggest International Food and Hospitality Fair organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) in Delhi.
The pavilion, set up by Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-Bip) on behalf of the department, showcased 19 food processing units from Kerala. With its organisational skills and variety products, the Kerala pavilion became one of the major attractions at the fair attended by over 50,000 business visitors daily during March 14-18.
The 37th edition of Aahar organized in an area of 100,000 square metres was held at Pragati Maidan here. The four day event, organised by ITPO, a nodal agency of Government of India under the aegis of Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, was attended by more than 1400 domestic and international traders. Also, entrepreneurs from 19 countries, including the USA, Australia, Brazil, Sweden, South Korea, and Russia visited the fair.
A leading B2B event, AAHAR 2023 was put together with the help of the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries, the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), and other organizations. It is where wholesalers, caterers, hoteliers and restaurant owners gather to source the best food, hospitality and equipment as well as to assess industry trends.
