NEW DELHI:
IRCTC has launched its e-wallet for payment for e-ticketing at IRCTC website in 2012 as a pilot project and was later released as a regular product. IRCTC has carried out several technical changes in its e-wallet and will now be available to public for booking e-tickets in 8-12 hrs periods also.
Now e- wallet registration will be free for one month and later at a special introductory price of RS 50 .IRCTC e-wallet has several advantages as compared to other payment options on its website. This product has a very high payment success rate of more than 99 % and will reduce the complaints of “payment deducted, ticket not booked”.
This e-wallet can be topped up in the multiple of Rs 100 up to a maximum of Rs 10000 in a month. This payment instrument has a transaction charge of Rs 5 per transaction only and is cheaper when compared with other payment options. Payment through IRCTC e-wallet is highly secured by way of 2 factor authentication through password and OTP on registered mobile at the time of payment.
IRCTC E-wallet registration is at present available by verification through PAN card and will soon be available through Aadhar card also.
