KOCHI:
The team comprising of Apurva Shelka, Anshritha Rai and Sahil Likhar from the Indian Law Society’s Law College (ILS), Pune, has won the 4th NUALS National Maritime Law Moot Court Competition 2017 organised by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. 21 teams from prestigious institutions including the National Law Universities participated in the three-day competition held at the NUALS Campus from July 14 – 16, 2017. School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore, was adjudged as the runners- up. Symbiosis Law School, Pune bagged the Best Memorial Award. Shashank Kanoongo of the Symbiosis Law School was adjudged as the Best Speaker of the Competition and Sahil Likhar of ILS, Pune was adjudged as the Best Speaker of Finals.
Justice P. B. Suresh Kumar, Judge, High Court of Kerala, was the special guest at the valedictory function. Dr. Rose Varghese, Vice-Chancellor, NUALS, Syam Kumar, Advocate, High Court of Kerala, and Expert in Maritime Law and Dr. Thushara James, Advocate, High Court of Kerala, were also present on the occasion.
