Gift the Heritage of Kerala; Handloom Gift Box by Crafts Village to Launch on June 30

Gift a Tradition,’ a unique initiative curated by the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village (KACV) to globally promote the rich handloom heritage and indigenous craftsmanship of Kerala, is set to be inaugurated on June 30.

The official unveiling of the specially designed, exquisite gift box, which exclusively features handloom attire, and the inauguration of the ceremony will be performed by Minister for Tourism and Culture, P. C. Vishnunath, at the Crafts Village in Kovalam.

This initiative aims to open up broader market opportunities for the handloom sector while seamlessly integrating Kerala’s authentic products into the culture of official and special occasion gifting, said T. U. Sreeprasad, Chief Operating Officer of the Crafts Village. The gift box, themed “Gift a Tradition”, is a remarkable creation that beautifully represents Kerala’s cultural legacy and centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship. Shri M. Vincent, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Kovalam, will preside over the function.
