KOLLAM: Crime Branch of Kerala Police wic is investigating Fireworks disaster at Puttingal
Devi Temple registered a case against six persons, including temple managing committee
members under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The charges against them are ‘Attempt to murder’ (Section 307 of the IPC) , ‘attempt to
commit culpable homicide’ (section 308) and under section 4 of Explosives Substances Act.
Assistants of the contractors have also been booked.
The managing committee members had been absconding soon after te gruesome tragedy.
The illegal fireworks competition conducted by the authorities of Puttingal Devi Temple as left 109 dead and more than 350 injured.
