  • Fifth Edition of Lights in Goa Concludes

    PANJIM:
    In a bid to create awareness among citizens on architectural lighting, the two-day seminar of Lights in Goa 2017 edition concluded with grand success. Over 250 delegates from across twelve countries attended the symposium which focused on the theme Education in Lighting, Sustainable Lighting practices & The Future of Lighting Design.
    Organized by architects Kapil Surlakar, James Andrade and Sacheen Pai Raikar, Directors at KJS EvVIA Verlag team and speakers were felicitated by KJS Events directors, Ar. Kapil Surlakar and James Andre, at Lights in Goa 2017 at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa on 4th February 2017ents, the international lighting seminar was inaugurated recently and was supported by Joachim Ritter, Managing Director, VIA Verlag and Editor-in-chief, Professional Lighting Design magazine.
    Delegates across twelve countries were educated and got a peek of the latest products and technologies in the country through the exhibition and sessions organized at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. The seminars included talks by experts such as Dean Skira, Croatia and Emmanuel Clair, Franc
    e on lighting cultural heritage and new technologies in lighting solutions respectively. Design workshops were conducted by Prof Michael Rohde and Kerem Asfuroglu on office lighting, and communicating light.
    Discussions were conducted by Riccardo Marina on Designing spaces for people and photo sessions conducted by Dean Skira on toying with creativity in lighting.
    The seminars concluded with a Panel Discussion moderated by Joachim Ritter. The speakers and VIA Verlag team were felicitated by KJS Events directors, Ar. Kapil Surlakar and James Andre, Director at KJS Events, as a token of appreciation. The 2-day seminar proceedings were dissected, and kept the audience engaged, hence the 2017 edition of Lights in Goa proved to be the finest compared to the other four editions.
