Dr. T.I.Mathewkutty, Chief Coconut Development Officer, CDB retired from the service on superannuation on 31 st October 2016. Dr. T.I.Mathewkutty is a post graduate in Agriculture and a PhD holder in Agronomy from Kerala
Agricultural University. He started his o
fficial career in Coconut Development Board on 2 nd November 1982. Dr. Mathewkutty was the first Farm Manager of Mandya Demonstration cum Seed Production Farm of the Board in Karnataka and was instrumental in setting up of the farm and its upgrading to an internationally recognized farm. He has served various offices of the Board in different positions at Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Dr. T.I.Mathewkutty has also served as Deputy Commissioner and Additional Commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation, New Delhi. He has also visited countries viz America, Israel and Singapore and had the opportunity to associate with coconut development activities in those areas.
He is also a degree holder in Law and PG Diploma holder in Journalism rather than Agriculture.
