Chaitanya 2017 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya

Chaitanya 2017, the interschool cultural and literary annual fest organised by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala was conducted on 28th July in the school auditorium.
The theme for this year’s fest was ‘Parampara ’which was a homage to the mesmerising beauty of Indian traditions. Around 14 schools in and around Kochi participated in various events. The display of colourful events like Samaara (cheering), Arohi (music), Nartana(dance) and Nivaaha (literary) along with a surprise event were conducted during the course of the day. The Chief guest for the inaugural function was Yathish Chandra G H,. He mentioned about the importance of students’ involvement in school events which would boost their team work and confidence thereby contributing to their all- round development. The function was also graced by A Gopalakrishnan, Chief Sevak, CMECT-GC. The overall trophy was bagged by The Choice School with 47 point followed by Global Public School with 22 points. The prizes were handed over by S Sreesanth, renowned cricketer during the valedictory function. “Students need to overcome their stage fear and participate in literary and cultural activities accepting the fact that participation is more important than winning”, remarked the Chief Guest. The function was also attended by Mohammed Hanish, and V N Venugopal, President School Managing Committee.
