  • Cause of Health Hazards is Violation of Nature’s Law: Cusat VC

    KOCHI:
    Naked violation of the nature’s law is the cause of all health hazards faced by the human society, said Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Letha. According to the Vice Chancellor, health is not a single word, but a combination of water, air, soil and environment and their interaction with the human life.
    She was inaugurating the Arogyadarshanam programme oarogyamrganized by the Center for Science Communication in collaboration with Department of Applied Chemistry and Directorate of Public Relations and publications at Cusat Applied Chemistry auditorium. Dr. K. Gireesh Kumar, Head, Department of Applied Chemistry was the moderator.
    The Vice Chancellor further criticized the tendency of our society to imitate the bad practices of western culture. However the society is not at all interested to adopt their good practices. According to her the adoption of fast-food culture is a great threat to the society.
    Dr. Rama .P. Venu, Head, Department of Gastroenterology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences delivered the keynote address. Dr. P. Sachidanandan, Assistant Director, Regional Forensic Laboratory, Kannur and Dr. P. Shyju, Chemical Oceanography, Cusat were the speakers and Syndicate member Dr. N. Chandramohanakumar felicitated.
    Dr S. Anilkumar, Director, Centre for Science Communication and Directorate of Public Relations and Publications, K.G. Binimol, Section Officer, Directorate of Public Relations and Publications spoke.
