KOCHI:
Aster Medcity, in collaboration with the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Kochi Branch, organize Aster Kids Eighth Annual Monsoon CME on Paediatric Emergencies on Sunday, 8th September 2024. The event will be held from 08:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the IMA House, Kaloor, Kochi.
This one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program is a joint initiative by the Centre of Excellence in Paediatrics & Neonatology at Aster Medcity and IAP. The event aims to provide paediatricians with a comprehensive understanding of various paediatric emergencies and their management within Paediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU).
The CME will feature a series of scientific sessions covering critical topics such as the identification of a sick child, snake bites, pediatric burns, cardiac arrhythmias, oncological and surgical emergencies, acute liver failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and respiratory support in children. These sessions will be led by a distinguished panel of senior paediatric intensivists, senior paediatricians, and experts in paediatric sub-specialties.
In addition to the CME, a pre-conference workshop will be held on Saturday, 7th September 2024, at Aster Medcity. The workshop, themed “Simulation in Training in Emergency Paediatrics and Ventilation,” will offer hands-on training and will include a poster presentation competition for postgraduates, fellows, and paediatricians.
This workshop is specifically designed to benefit a wide range of professionals, including practicing paediatricians, residents in paediatrics, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and paediatric subspecialties, as well as intensivists, nurses, paramedics, simulation technicians, surgeons, and medical and nursing faculty members involved in the management of critically ill children.
“Aster Medcity’s Dr. Jeeson C Unni, Senior Consultant in Pediatrics, and Dr. Sebastian Paul, Consultant in PICU, are the Organizing Chairman and Organizing Secretary of the CME, respectively.”
