KOCHI:
Aster Medcity, in collaboration with Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare launched a free HbA1c test campaign aimed at supporting the elderly population. The campaign was inaugurated by Aluva MLA Anwar Sadat at the Aluva Welfare Association Trust as part of World Diabetes Day celebrations.
The initiative will provide free check-ups to various elderly care centres across Ernakulam district, providing crucial diabetes screening for 500 senior citizens.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by Aster Volunteers, driven by the Aster DM Foundation, to touch lives through healthcare, education, social empowerment, environmental sustainability, and disaster relief activities. To date, Aster Volunteers has impacted over 5 million lives globally, with this campaign being another testament to its impactful presence.
