Chennias Amirta Group of Institutions secured the Asian and Indian Book of Records at the final ceremony of annual sports meet, CAG7, 2026, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.
The record was for a massive human formation displaying “CA ❤️ DK 19” by 2026 (Chennais Amirta Loves Dinesh Karthik – 19 being his iconic jersey number). The remarkable formation stood as a symbol of unity, coordination, and institutional pride.
The human formation also carried a deeper purpose — to inspire students with the values of resilience, comeback spirit, and success through perseverance, reflecting the journey and mindset of Dinesh Karthik.
Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik and Prof. Dr. K. Narayanasamy, M.D., D.M. (Gastro), Vice Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai were the chief guest. The Grand 7 Annual Sports Meet, which commenced on 21st March 2026, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across 7 campuses in South India, including five Hotel Management campuses, Aviation, and Nursing streams. Students competed with high energy and team spirit in various sporting events such as cricket, volleyball, throwball, football, kabaddi, athletics, and more, culminating in the grand finale on 25th March 2026, where winners were honoured.
The event began with a grand and vibrant welcome for the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Students created an electrifying atmosphere by waving Chennais Amirta flags and cheering with great enthusiasm, showcasing their admiration and excitement.
As a special highlight, the cricket team winners were thrilled to receive autographed miniature cricket bats from Dinesh Karthik—an unforgettable lifetime memory they will always cherish. Dinesh Karthik was felicitated by the Chairman, R. Boomee Naathan and admired his creative carving display showcasing his journey and achievements in cricket
