    NEW DELHI:
    I have always been of the view that Section 370 of Indian Constitution is the compact on which J & K acceded to India. The present effort at amending Article 35A of the Constitution is apart from being not permissible but is also violation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India. I hope better sense will prevail and this illegal attempt will be dropped, said Rajindar Sachar, former president of People Union for Civil Liberties.
