KOCHI:
Most modern restaurant of RSC, with see-through kitchen, was inaugurated today by K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla, District Collector, Ernakulam & Chairman of RSC. The administration of the restaurant was handed over to Johnson’s Rainbow Hospitality, a UAE based catering company. The restaurant is named “Johnson’s Rainbow Restaurant”.
The see-through kitchen is having an area of 1100 sq. ft. with stainless steel ceiling and is fully equipped with modern kitchen gadgets like deep freezers, chillers, electric steam oven, wet-grinders, tandoor tawa, dish washer etc. with provisions for making Chinese and continental dishes. It will also contain 19 international cuisines among vast varieties of Indian & Chinese dishes in the Menu Card.
The kitchen has two outlets for the eight kitchen-hood exhausts and one inlet for fresh air supplied to six areas. The restaurant has an area of 2200 sq. ft. and a total seating capacity to accommodate 96 persons in two air-conditioned see-through halls with modern toilets and washrooms. Exclusive provisions to host parties for any sports teams upto 50 persons are also an added advantage here.
The modernization of the restaurant and kitchen was necessitated because of RSC hosting international events especially the forthcoming World Master’s Badminton that will be held here during September 2017. 800 to 1000 foreign players are expected to participate in the above W
orld Championship.
The total cost for the modification of the restaurant and kitchen came to Rs.51 lakhs. This amount was raised by admitting new members. RSC will soon become an hotspot for hosting many more international events.
