Abhishek Mohan Appointed Head Coach of Trivandrum Royals

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Former Kerala pace bowler and coach Abhishek Mohan S. L. has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Trivandrum Royals for the third season of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL). Abhishek takes charge of the team with rich experience, having played for Kerala in major domestic tournaments, including the Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Abhishek achieved the distinction of being the highest wicket-taker in India during the 2014–15 Under-23 season. He has represented the South Zone twice in the Under-19 category and was selected for the India Under-23 national camp. A two-time winner of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) Best Fast Bowler award, he currently serves as the Head Coach of the KCA Under-16 boys’ team. Abhishek is a Senior Associate at the State Bank of India (SBI) and is also a member of the SBI cricket team.

The Trivandrum Royals will play their first match against the Alleppey Ripples on August 21. Utilizing the full allocated purse of ₹50 lakh, the franchise has assembled a balanced and strong 16-member squad in both batting and bowling departments through the auction this season.
