Wonderla Holidays Ltd celebrates 25 years of engineering innovation and operations excellence with Wonderlabs, a transformative CSR initiative designed to strengthen science education across Kerala. This program aims to establish fully equipped STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) laboratories in 25 deserving schools throughout the state.
With science and technology forming the core foundation, Wonderlabs represents the company’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators. This initiative specifically targets government-run, government-aided and recognized non-profit private schools affiliates with the Kerala State Education Board, prioritizing institutions in rural and underserved areas where access to quality science education remains limited.
Selected schools must meet a minimum enrollment of at least 200 students in upper primary and high school levels, offer classes from Grade 6 onwards where STEM is an integral subject to the curriculum and have dedicated science teachers to oversee laboratory operations. Each selected school will receive end-to-end support, from equipment and installation through Wonderla’s approved vendors to operational guidance and ongoing monitoring. The school will retain ownership of the lab and be responsible for its upkeep, with Wonderla conducting periodic impact assessments to ensure continued effectiveness and sustainability.
Commenting on the initiative, Arun K. Chittilappilly, Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Wonderla said, “As we mark 25 years of bringing joy and wonder to millions of families, Wonderlabs allows us to extend that same spirit of discovery into classrooms. Science and engineering have always been at our core: every ride, every experience we create is built on these principles. Through Wonderlabs, we are sharing that passion with young minds who will shape tomorrow’s innovations.”
This initiative not only reaffirms Wonderla’s commitment to inclusive growth but also celebrates the spirit of its 25-year journey, one rooted in the power of science, imagination, and shared joy.
