KOCHI:
Vedhik IAS Academy, which offers high-quality online training, has come out with a unique package that provides civil services coaching for aspirants from class VIII till the age of 32 at a one-time registration fee of just Rs 29,999.
The Academy will refund the entire fee for any enrolled student who clears the preliminaries for civil services.
The Academy’s one-time fee of Rs 29,999 guarantees coaching continuously till the aspirant reaches the age of 32 years, which is the age limit for appearing for the civil services exams in the country.
Besides, the institution has rolled out a Vedhik Erudite Scholarship Programme with one-school-one-IAS as the motto, assuring free training to brilliant civil services aspirants who are economically backward. The scheme, supported by sponsors, envisages enrolment of 10,000 boys and girls across Kerala. The beneficiaries will be selected by a panel headed by the head of respective educational institutions.
The one-school-one-IAS envisages equipping students with not just preparing for the civil services but other competitive exams as well. Neither does the Academy confine its activities to India. For civil services aspirants within and outside the country, the Academy lends training to those entrance coaching for UN Civil Service, Tata Administrative Service and Class-1 exams. The academy, with presence in 14 countries including the Gulf, has 129 centres in India and abroad.
In the Gulf, Vedhik has charted out coaching modules for students seeking to join higher-education courses.
Recently, the Academy won the Excellent Global E-learning Award instituted by the International Telecommunication Union under the United Nations. The 2020 honour, which came a first for any Indian e-learning institution, was in recognition of the high quality of Vedhik’s digital platform, animated content, artificial intelligence, hologram technology and training methods.
Vedhik IAS Academy is helmed by India’s top retired IAS and IPS officers. While the dean is Kerala’s ex-Director General of Police Dr Alexander Jacob, the Chancellor is Dr Babu Sebastian, former VC of MG and Kannur Universities in Kerala. University of Calicut former Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Basheer is the Academy’s Honorary VC. The Academy has two mentors: Dr J Alexander, IAS, former Chief Secretary and Cabinet Minister of Karnataka, and that state’s ex-DGP Shankar Bidari, IPS.
The panel of trainers comprise Kerala former Additional Chief Secretary O P Minocha, UN Consultant Dr C V Ananda Bose, who was also the state’s Additional Chief Secretary, Karan Events Group Managing Director Col D S Cheema, CMAI Association of India President Prof N K Goyal and Safari TV head Santhosh George Kulangara, the well-known globetrotter.
