Big Idea Business Plan Contest.
As a socially responsible brand who is committed to the cause of positive growth of the county , it is our belief that the foundation to the strong and sustainable growth of a Country rests squarely on the young shoulders who need to be energized, encouraged and empowered to discover brilliant ,futuristic ideas that sparkle with creativity and innovation.
The Big Idea Business Plan Contest 2016 offered the students an opportunity to employ their creativity and prove their mettle by creating a business plan that is outstandingly innovative yet practical; and showcase their talent on a national level platform.
The contest received tremendous response with hundreds of entries from MBA and B.Tech students from professional colleges including premium institutes across the country. In round one ,the registered teams were given a detailed profile of V-Guard and its products, services, technology and operational pattern.
The students were asked to make a business plan executive summary out of the details given to them.
The summaries were then reviewed by the Jury committee and 20 business plans were shortlisted.The shortlisted teams were then asked to submit a final report of their business plan.
These top 20 business plan reports will be presented before the committee on the 10 th & 11 th of November 2016. The Chairman of the 3 member Jury Committee is Rajesh Nair (Executive Director- Markets – E&Y) along with Ramachandran V (Director & COO ,V-Guard Industries Ltd) and Dr. George Sleeba (Consultant – Production &
HR V-Guard Industries Ltd ).
The Jury will review the 20 final business plans and decide the three winning entries and the two special jury award winners. The award function will be held on November 11 th 2016 at 3:30 pm at the Center Hotel (Avenue Centre) , Panampilly Nagar ,Kochi ,where Kochouseph Chittilappilly (Chairman – V-Guard Industries Ltd) will present the awards to the winners. The function will be attended by eminent personalities from various walks of life.
The three best ideas will be awarded first, second and third prizes which will be cash prizes worth Rs 1,00,000 ,Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively ,along with trophies and Certificates of appreciation and two special jury awards of Rs 10,000 each.
