UST Global Reds Win Technopark Edition of Goal 2017

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
UST Global Reds became the champions of the Technopark edition of GOAL 2017, defeating Infosys Green 1-0 in a scintillating final on March 12. IIITM-K overcame UST Global Blues to secure the 3rd place in the tournament. The Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram, Adv. V K Prasanth and the Center Head for UST Global Thiruvananthapuram, Hema Menon handed over the trophies to the winners. Shyju Pathrose from UST Global Reds was adjudged the Player of the Tournament while Safir Shah from Infosys Green walked away with the Top Scorer award. Ajeesh Nair from UST Global Reds bagged the Player of the Finals and Hashif from IIITM-K was selected as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. The matches were held over the weekends in February & March at the LNCPE Grounds in Kariavattom. GOAL is an annual corporate soccer tournament hosted by UST Global, with editions in Thiruvananthapuram, Technopark & Kochi Infopark.
