KUMARAKOM:
As many as 30 bloggers from various countries reached Kumarakom today as a part of the fifth edition of Kerala Blog Express. The bloggers, who have embarked on a journey across Kerala , witnessed the Responsible Tourism initiatives as they entertained themselves in the delight of experiencing the village life style and scenic beauty of Kumarakom.
The bloggers engaged in various traditional activities such as toddy tapping, screw pine mat weaving, coconut leaf mat weaving etc in Kumarakom as a part of immersing themselves in the famed Village Life Experience of Kerala’s Responsible Tourism Mission.
Activities like coconut tree climbing and net fishing turned out to be a refreshing experiencing to the bloggers. The team also found time to have some chit chat with the villagers before taking a few selfies with the local people. The Kerala Blog Express team was received at Kavanattinkara by Responsible Tourism Mission coordinator K. Rupesh Kumar, Tourism Deputy Director Biju Varghese, and Responsible Tourism Destination Coordinator Bhagat Singh.
The entire experience of the journey will be documented by the bloggers and shared with all the aspiring travellers around the world. In addition to sharing the landscape beauty of Kumarakom, the bloggers will also share the developments achieved in Kumarakom under theResponsible Tourism among their digital media followers across the world. The team will depart for Muziris Heritage Project region on March 21.
The fifth edition of Kerala Blog Express was flagged off from the state capital on March 18. Bloggers will travel across various cities documenting the entire journey covering hills, beaches, backwaters, villages and city life experiences. The globally-acclaimed bloggers will be sharing photos, videos and articles reflecting the culture, tradition and lifestyle of Kerala and its natural beauty.
Apart from Kumarakom, the bloggers will travel through Alappuzha, Thrissur, Munnar, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod. The fifth edition of Kerala Express will come to a close on April 1 in Kochi.
