KOCHI:
Ashish Madhusoodhanan of UST Global emerged the winner at the Techies GrandMaster Chess Tournament (Season-2) organised by Calpine Group in association with Infopark.
Held on the Swiss-system Round-robin, the championship last weekend featured 100 participants. Eight of them were rated by FIDE.
Sanjeev S Nair of Metadata Technologies finished second. Sourav Raj K.K. of Ignitarium Technologies and Vaishnav S. of ThoughtMinds won the third and fourth prizes respectively.
The prizes, totalling Rs 50,000 were distributed to the winners. The contestants were employees of Infopark’s campuses in Kochi, Cherthala and Thrissur (Koratty).
