Suspense Thriller ‘Grahanam’ Streaming Now on Neestream

‘Grahanam’, a psychological thriller written and directed by Anand Paga and jointly produced by Anand Paga and Devika Sivan under their production house Sreenandiya Productions has hit Neestream after its huge success in Singapore theatres earlier this year. Grahanam tells the story of a researcher Roy and his wife Tina. Their happy married life lands into unsettling twists when a doubt about Roy’s identity haunts Tina. An unexpected incident happens on the night of Grahanam(Lunar Eclipse). What follows next forms the crux of the story.

This movie marks the entry of Devika Sivan, grand-daughter of the famous playback singer Kamukara Purushothaman and niece of popular producer Suresh Kumar(Revathy Kalamandir) into movies. She plays the lead role of Tina. The male lead is played by Gibu George who is a popular name among Singapore Malayalees for his work in short films, theatre dramas and TV commercials. Prominent roles are played by Sudheer Karamana, Vijay Menon, Jayaram Nair, Sooraj Jayaraman, Ann Sooraj from We are a Sambavam fame and Binoop Nair.

The vibrant visuals of Singapore and the thrill of the story is beautifully captured by the cinematographer Raj Vimal Dev. There are 3 beautiful songs in the movie composed by AnandhKumar to the lyrics of Linku Abraham. The songs Mizhinilavai and Venmukilay sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Harishankar KS respectively are much liked by the Malayalee crowd and the song Poganathilere by Vaishnavi Kannan is gaining popularity. Editing is done by Ajmal Sabu who is quite popular for his trailer cuts in Malayalam movies. Audiography is done by National Award winner M R Rajakrishnan.

Shot in the picturesque landscape of Singapore, the movie Grahanam is unique in the fact that the Director, Cinematographer, Music Director and most of the main cast are full time working IT/business professionals who had the zeal and passion for cinema and has collaborated with the mainstream artistes and crew from the Malayalam film industry to fulfill their dream. Most of the team was managing a full time job while working on the film.
