KOCHI:
The tenth edition of SiGNS festival, organised by Federation of Film Society of India (FFSI) Kerala in association with the Kochi Biennale Foundation, saw an increased delegate participation and enthusiasm from film goers in the city.
Around three hundred people registered as delegates on the opening day of SiGNS 2016, which according to the officials is a record turn out after the festival has been shifted to Kochi. “Increased number of delegates is a mark of progress this festival is making,” said CS Venkiteswaran, Artistic Director, SiGNS.
Students from various colleges have come in numbers to attend the short film and documentary festival. Few foreigners also attended the festival on the opening day. Other than the delegates, around 160 film makers will also attend the festival. Open Forums and Seminars will be organised from the second day which will be platform for delegates to interact with directors.
Around 200 short films and documentaries will be screened during the five day festival at Ernakulam Town Hall till October 2nd.
