KOCHI:
SBI Life Insurance, one of the leading private sector life insurers in Kerala state, contributed Rs 2.75 crore towards relief and rehabilitation efforts. Of the total money donated, Rs 1.75 crore has been contributed to Kerala CMDRF and Rs 1 Crore has been earmarked for immediate relief activities in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Kerala.
In a display of solidarity for the people of Kerala, employees of SBI Life from across the country have volunteered to encash one day leave to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts. As a socially responsible corporate, SBI Life has contributed an equivalent amount to make a joint contribution of Rs 1.75 crore to CMDRF.
Separately to assist immediate relief activities SBI Life has donated ? 1 crore to Indian Red Cross Society earmarked for clean-up, disinfection and other on ground activities. Around 2,500 people will be deployed for this activity including SBI Life employees and NGO volunteers.
