Sahyadri Industries Hands over Ecopro-S3 House to Kerala Flood Victim

Sahyadri Industries Limited, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is a part of Pune based Patel group having interests in building material manufacturing, real estate and power generation. The company has manufacturing locations in Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, SIL manufactures roofing sheets and non asbestos flat boards. SIL has come up with a revolutionary solution Ecopro S3 which talks about affordability, speed, ease, innovation and a sustainable green building solution. 

Ecopro S3 system promises to not only blend itself with nature but also offer the consumer with green alternatives to choose from to beautify his home interiors and exteriors.  SIL intends to upgrade the skill sets of the fabricators, carpenters, masons who can then easily migrate to such new systems. Kerala is blessed with natural beauty. The old beautiful houses blend with the surroundings but due to the ban on teak and less availability of roof tiles, people started adopting alternate materials and designs which is alien to the surroundings and these materials started giving problems in terms of seepages, leakages, heat etcetera.  
It may be recollected that as announced last year, Sahayadri Industries’ CSR team had identified a flood victim, M K Shamsudan who has been working very actively in the field of Social, Cultural and Political fields for several years and has even been a member of the refugee camp when the floods hit Kerala. 

When the cyclone and floods hit Kerala Shamsudan’s house was completely destroyed. He even went through a bad medical condition, due to which he was unable to rebuild his house till date. Looking at his situation Sahyadri Industries Limited had promised to build a free house for him using the modular, prefabricated platform of Ecopro- S3 ( patent applied ) walls and roofing systems. The Covid-19 situation and rains did get us delayed on the handover of the house but the keys of his house were handed over on Monday 18 th  January by Kodikunnil Suresh, Member of Parliament. 

Currently we have approx 150 dealers in Kerala and our Fibre Cement board designer tiles and wooden design planks are doing well in this region.  We have our factories at Perundarai near Coimbatore in Tamilnadu and Vijaywada at AP and our production capacity is around 13000 MT and we intend to expand our production of Ecopro S3 in Perundurai.  Currently we are active in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Andaman.   The brands SWASTIK Twin roofs, CEMPLY flat sheets, Ecopro Fiber Cement Board are almost synonymous with their product categories.
 
S3 is a Unique 3 layer technology. It is easy to install, Cost effective, resistance to weather, fire, leakages/seepages and is a earthquake resistance.
