KOCHI:
Rotary Cochin Central will provide vocational rehabilitation to children with special needs above 18 years.
Project will benefit around 75-100 such children. The objective is make them have a life of dignity and independence
in the society. Being a vocational rehabilitation programme, this project helps the children to improve their social interaction, communication and various other basic conceptual skills.
It will also serve as a relief to the parents of such children, as they are always concerned about their future. Rotary Cochin Central will provide necessary infrastructure related to such rehabilitation through some of the identified organizations where such training can be provided to the children.
To support this project Rotary Cochin Centre will be conducting a Golf tournament by the name of “Rotary Open Golf Tournament”organized by Rotary Cochin Central in CIAL Golf club, Cochin on January 11 th&12 th 2020. We are estimating participation from 150 players across the country & abroad for the event. The objective will be to utilize the surplus arising from this event towards facilitating the vocational rehabilitation project.
Rotary Cochin Central is a club chartered in 1989, under the Rotary International, a global service Organisation. It has an excellent record of accomplishment of meaningful projects in all the avenues of service recommended by Rotary International.
It has a membership of more than 50 professionals, industrialists and businessmen. It is considered one of the most vibrant clubs in the Rotary district 3201 with a huge history of community services projects, past and ongoing.
